What I’d Miss…

This blog post was inspired by Cheryl Richardson’s newsletter this week (Cheryl Richardson is one of my heroes in the personal development world!). As you likely know, Nora Ephron passed away last week. In Cheryl’s article, she wrote about an excerpt from Nora’s most recent book, where Nora shared what she would and would not miss when she was no longer here. So I decided to capture the top things I would miss, myself.

 

  • My children
  • Snuggling with my children
  • Seeing my children smile
  • My husband
  • My husband’s sense of humor
  • The sound of my husband’s and children’s laughs (They really have the best laughs!)
  • Being there for my children’s milestones
  • Family dinners
  • Pizza, movie & sleepover Friday nights with my daughter
  • Playing catch with my son
  • The ability to make boo-boos disappear with my “mama kisses”
  • Talking for hours on end with my mom
  • Cuddling with my dog
  • Girl talk with my girlfriends
  • My work and the impact I’m able to have on my clients’ lives
  • Warm chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven with cold milk
  • The feeling of the sun beating down on my skin
  • Big hugs
  • My mother-in-law’s Italian cooking
  • Extra dirty vodka martinis with extra olives
  • Dancing
  • Singing in the car at the top of my lungs
  • New York City
  • Going to the theater
  • Learning new things
  • Having “a-ha” moments
  • Massages
  • Cheeseburgers from Five Guys
  • Completely vegging out with a tabloid magazine, while watching The Real Housewives (doesn’t matter which city)
  • The smell of freshly cut grass
  • Walking barefoot in the sand at the beach
  • Getting lost in a good book
  • Buttered, movie theater popcorn
  • Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes with light whip cream
