This week, I’d like to talk to you about an extremely simple thing you can do first thing in the morning to set your day up for success. It’s all about controlling the very first thought you have upon waking up.
So if you’re like most people (and like me just a couple of years ago), you probably wake up in the morning and think, “Oh no. How can it be morning already? I’m so tired…I just want to hit the snooze button.” Now think about how negatively that vibe sets up your energy for the day right from the get-go.
What if you made a mindset shift and a conscious effort to make your very first thought in the morning really positive? For example, my first thought when I wake up now is: “I wonder what amazing opportunities are going to come my way today!” Then I take a few moments to imagine what great things might happen during the course of my day. It’s a very simple behavior shift, but I can tell you that it’s had a dramatic impact on my attitude, energy level and actions.
